About Our Packaging

We searched far and wide to find the most sustainable take-out packaging available. We set ourselves the goal of finding completely compostable packaging so you can put the items right into your Green Bin. And where we couldn’t find compostable, we have settled for packaging that is fully recyclable and you can put these items rigth into your Blue Bin. None of the take-out & delivery packaging you get from Richmond Station should end up in the landfill.

Products are made from annually renewable resources like sugar cane fiber, wheat straw fiber and corn and fully compostable in a commercial composting facility within 1-3 months. They all pass ASTM 6400 and are BPI certified for compostability. Unlike many other companies, our packaging partner does not sell other plastic products to complement their line and are on a mission to only provide 100% truly compostable products.

Here is a detailed outline of what your order might come with and instructions on how to recycle or upcycle the items.

THE BAG

RECYCLEABLE = Blue Bin

Your order will be packed in a brown paper bag that is fully recyclable.  That is, if you don’t choose to reuse it.  Our bags are great for re purposing as crafts for children or for presents!  Add your own ideas, or put the bag in your Blue Bin.
